Michal Steuer's home page

This web page is almost entirely devoted to the work I did in my doctoral thesis
for which I received a PhD from the
Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences
of the
University of the West of England in Bristol, UK.
Several parts of the research presented in the thesis were started at my home university
in the Neural Computing Group of the
Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the
Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the
Czech Technical University in Prague, and
during my stays at the
Department of Information Technology and Systems
of the Delft University of Technology
in the Netherlands.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments,
doing a similar work etc. My contact details
can be found at the end of this page.
A Modified Neocognitron for Pattern Recognition with an Application
to Respiratory Signal Classification
That is the official and unabridged title of my thesis.
You can check its abstract or
you can download the whole thesis.
My recommendation is to use a colour printer if you want to have the thesis printed.
Otherwise you can find a few figures a bit confusing. But colours are not used too often
so even a black&white copy will serve its purpose.
